PANAMA
So a good friend of mine is a superb yoga instructor, and leading a retreat to Panama, and was hoping to increase registration for it. Enter me to create some promotional videos formatted for promotion via Instagram.
Now don’t get me wrong. I love yoga, I think it is a grea practice. But often the marketing for it is pretty stuffy; beige, incense, and softly spoken phrases. Barf. That’s all be done before.
This what sounded so appealing with trip was supposed to be fun. So from the outset I wanted to make something that was completely out of the norm for yoga, but still included it and was above all, fun.

Sprinkle in some bright colors, some oddly appropriate Van Halen, and you’re good to go.
For the second round of promotion, I dialed up the lofi VHS vibe to match the music. I for one have nothing but the fondest of memories adjust the tracking on well-worn tapes.
